Swiss haute horlogerie maker Audemars Piguet has launched the first self-winding split-seconds flyback chronograph, opening a new chapter in the Royal Oak concept high quality replica watches. Inspired by the collection's high-tech features, this timepiece takes the futuristic look, ergonomics and superb performance of the Royal Oak Concept to a new level. As well as introducing a new 43mm case size and the collection’s first interchangeable strap, the sporty timepiece also features a resolutely contemporary three-dimensional titanium case with texture, depth and light. It is powered by a new state-of-the-art movement, the self-winding Caliber 4407, with its complex micromechanics at the center of the rear. For the first time, the case back reveals an advanced split-seconds mechanism inserted into the ball bearings supporting the oscillating weight. More than 20 years after the release of the first Royal Oak concept watch, the collection continues to provide a pioneering platform for research and development experiments.
