Tudor Pelagos FXD and Alinghi Red Bull Racing launch two watches

The cooperation between Alinghi Red Bull Racing and Tudor has brought two new Pelagos FXD models. Both chronographs and dive watches focus on durability, as their cases are made from composite materials of carbon, titanium and stainless steel. Focused on adventure, these watches are a tribute to the most demanding sailing competition ever created.

The Alinghi Tudor Pelagos FXD watch has several elements worth highlighting. First off, the reference 25707KN measures 42mm and the chronograph measures 43mm. The case on both products has a matte black finish and features a retaining strap like we saw on the first FXD model. The biggest badge, however, is the Alinghi Red Bull Racing logo etched into the stainless steel plate.

The titanium unidirectional rotating bezel returns with a matte black carbon-composite disc. Matte blue dial with ceramic composite markers. Tudor’s classic snowflake hands and bezel scales are coated with Super-LumiNova X1 for maximum readability. Finally, both models come with an integrated fabric strap in shades of blue and red with an automatic grip system.

Both watches are inspired by the Alinghi Red Bull Racing AC75, a vehicle that represents the very best in marine engineering. It was designed to be as fast as possible and features the same high-tech carbon composite hull as the Pelagos FXD models. Water-resistant to 200 meters, the watch has the performance expected from a certified diver's watch.

Two manufacturing gauges for reference
The two Alinghi versions of the Tudor Pelagos FXD will feature movements entirely in-house by the Swiss brand. The first reference watch with hours, minutes and seconds will be powered by the MT5602 movement. This automatic movement is COSC certified with a daily accuracy of -2/+4 seconds. In addition, it has a silicon helical structure that is resistant to magnetic fields. Finally, with its 70-hour power reserve, you can take the watch off on Friday and wind it up on Monday, no problem.

For a second reference, the MT5813 caliber provides the watch with the same hour, minute and second functions as its predecessor. However, it also adds a date display at 6 o'clock and a chronograph with a 45-minute totalizer at 3 o'clock. This movement has similar functions as the previous movement. In other words, it is self-winding, has a 70-hour power reserve, and is also COSC chronometer certified. Inspired by the Breitling 01 chronograph movement, this chronograph is robust and exceptionally water-resistant.
